Welcome to a creative Sunday at Artibus 

Take a break and get your hands into clay. This two and a half hour ceramic workshop is all about building and decorating your ceramics. 

We’ll begin with simple forms and gradually move toward more detailed pieces. Let your inspiration and imagination guide you.

We’ll explore hand shaping and slab building techniques, and finish with decoration using colored slip. You will paint it onto your piece while the clay is still soft or leather-hard. Because slip is made from the same clay material, it bonds seamlessly to the surface. This means the color becomes part of the ceramic itself rather than sitting on top like paint.

No experience is needed, just curiosity.

Your glazed and fired pieces will be ready for pick up in about four to six weeks.

What will you learn: 
Intuitive making, hand shaping, slab building and surface decoration using colored slip. 

Material 

All material is Included in the price as well as Coffee/tea. Bring a little snack if you need one.

Asieh is a sculptor and ceramic artist based at Artibus in Malmö. Her work is rooted in personal storytelling, using handbuilding techniques to explore the body, memory, and emotion. She sees clay as a space for reflection and is passionate about sharing its expressive potential with others.
